The Teacher of Teachers - Hafiz e Millat Hazrat Allama Abdul Azeez Muhaddith e Muradabadi
Steadfastness on Shari'at
Hafiz e Millat was very firm upon the Shari’at throughout his entire life.
Once a dog bit Hafiz e Millat on his toe. Regardless of the pain, Hafiz e Millat did not seek any treatment nor did he take an injection to prevent further ailment. His close ones regularly persisted him to obtain treatment, however he said;
“The infection from the dog will not affect me. You know well that I do not take injections due to the presence of spirit (alcohol) (certain injections contained alcohol, which were widely used in the subcontinent) within them. Allah will cure me.”
Due to the Du’a of Hafiz e Millat and his trust in Allah, he was cured without receiving an injection. Even though the dog had dug three of its teeth within the toe of Hafiz e Millat and the effects were clearly visible, he still never received an injection due to the presence of alcohol.
Debate with a Najdi
Hafiz e Millat had mastered the skill of debating from a very tender age.
One day, whilst Hafiz e Millat was in front of the blessed abode of the Prophet (countless peace and salutations be upon Him) in Madinatul Munawwara, his hands were raised to make du’a. A Najdi police officer ordered him to turn his direction and face towards the Qibla, exclaiming that to face the shrine of the Prophet (countless peace and salutations be upon Him) is Shirk (polytheism). Due to the respect of the blessed abode, Hafiz e Millat did not discuss further with the Najdi. However the Najdi continued moving Hafiz e Millat back and back away from the sacred shrine.
The Najdi officer then said: “You should face the Ka’ba whilst making Du'a as to face the shrine is Shirk”
Hafiz e Millat: “The Prophet is my intermediary to Allah. The Quran states “And seek a Waseela to him”
Najdi Officer: “The intermediaries are good deeds; Namaz, fasting etc.”
Hafiz e Millat: “Are the good deeds of a Muslim always accepted?”
Najdi officer: (stood in silence)
Hafiz e Millat: “No individual is aware if their good deeds are accepted. An individual continues to do good deeds hoping they will be accepted. However, the Prophet (countless peace and salutations be upon Him) is undoubtedly accepted in the court of Allah, and there is no room for doubt in this. Therefore, only that which is accepted can be used as a Waseela. Hence, the Prophet is the best Waseela.”
Hafiz e Millat mentions that the officer left without uttering a word. Thereafter, no individual ever bothered him during his stay.

Hafiz e Milat had many teachers at the early stages of his studying, however his main teacher was Huzoor Sadrush Shariah Allama Qadi Amjad Ali Azmi. He guided him throughout his life and taught him numerous sciences as well as conduct of life.

Before returning, Hafiz Muhammad Haneef Saheb came to ask Hafiz e Millat whether to buy one or two tickets. He asked Hafiz e Millat; Huzoor! Will Mawlana Zia ul Mustafa accompany you? Hafiz e Millat replied; Hafiz sahib! What have you asked, Mawlana Zia ul Mustafa is my teacher’s son (Sadrush Shariah). I will accompany him not that he will accompany me.
